WebSep 23, 2024 · It all began back in 1974 when the Daytona Beach Street Rods club founder, Stu Sarjeant, was denied entry to the Ormond Beach AACA Gaslight Parade because his 1923 Ford was a hot rod, as no modified cars were allowed. What began with just 45 cars has now grown into one of the largest old car events in the entire country.
