A 377 DE stroker (400 with 350 crank) is supposed to be a really high revving engine. 383 is probably best for tq and HP tho. I dont think a 377 destroker would be very friendly on the street. Don't make the mistake of thinking that the 383 is ONLY a low rpm torque motor.
