Both Sonic 1 and the new Mario movies are generic kids movies, but at least Mario actually resembles the game. Sonic 1 could've featured any character and worked with some small nips and tucks. Sonic 2 did a good job of bringing the series closer to the IP, but it still ... WebShadow is a Cyborg. Him being an android is only partially false. Eggman mentions rescuing him, however it still doesn't explain how he survived atmospheric re-entry. Maybe he's tougher than even Sonic thought, or maybe he was one foot in the grave. Eggman found him and rebuilt him in order to save his life.
